This is an important message for all EU citizens living in the UK. You need to apply to the EU settlement scheme now. If you miss the deadline (30 June 2021), you could lose your rights to live and work in the UK.

What is the EU Settlement Scheme?

If you’re an EU citizen and were living in the UK by 31 December 2020, you, and your family members (including children) will need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme before 30 June 2021. This is because the UK has now left the EU.

The EU Settlement Scheme allows you to get the immigration status you need to continue to live, work and study here in the UK after 30 June 2021.

This means you will continue to be eligible for:

  • public services, such as healthcare and schools
  • public funds and pensions
  • British citizenship (if you want to apply and meet the requirements).

Don’t leave it any longer, the deadline is 30 June 2021.

You can complete your application online and there is lots of support available if you have any questions. Visit www.gov.uk/eusettlementscheme or call the helpline on 0300 123 7379 to get advice on the application process.
